I have a Ph.D. in psychology, but mental illness is not currently my field of expertise.

We have a beautiful son. We believe that there are always risks when anyone has children, whether or not they have bipolar, or any other illness. We didn't want to let fear get in the way of having children. We don't regret our decision to have a child.

I have created this site in the hope of building a community of people interested in sharing information about this destructive disease, how to manage it, and how to help those who have it become well.
